I’ve been living in Paris on and off for 7 months now. The languages are starting to get confusing, it can take me a few days to get back into english sometimes. You know the feeling? I’ve just started doing this project about people’s faces. Really it’s about what people see in faces. I’ve started shooting some of the girls in the model apartments. In a way it questions how we perceive beauty and why. It’s complicated.

Tallulah Harlech in Singapore. The model cum style icon reveals her fashion secrets to Vogue Italia.
Actress, model and blogger on vogue.co.uk, Tallulah Harlech has inherited beauty, grace and elegance from her mother, Lady Amanda Harlech, Karl Lagerfeld’s muse.
Tallulah flew to Singapore for the Asia Fashion Summit, in order to be one of the protagonists at the AFX NOW! live fashion debate, moderated by Colin McDowell, Creative Director at Audi Fashion Festival.
On the front row during catwalks, she told us “I’m very happy to participate to this even, I love fashion talk!”.
This is her first time in Asia and confesses that despite Singapore is considered a shopping Mecca (especially Orchard Road, commercial fulcrum of the city with its several shopping malls.
That’s also where the catwalk tent was set up and where a few workshops were held), “I’m more curious about discovering nature, the city and its landscapes”.
However, she loves local designers: “My favourite is Raoul, so elegant and edgy at the same time”.
She is wearing a Raoul total look even during our interview: “When I choose a dress, first of all I look at its cut, then at how it fits me. And all my looks are completed by high heels. I could never do without!”.
What she would never ever wear, instead, is “a denim jacket. they remind me of my teenage, I don’t like them anymore”.
We’re super excited about Alex Vargas’ upcoming performance, next Tuesday, at the legendary Notting Hill Arts Club! Be there or be square!!
CONGRATS are in order for Mak Gilchrist and her wonderful Team at The Edible Bus Stop!
The Edible Bus Stop is being shortlisted in the Observer Ethical Awards - Grassroots Community Challenge Category.
Mak will be wearing FROM SOMEWHERE to the Observer awards ceremony and her colleague Will Sandy will be wearing JUNKY STYLING, both of which are sustainable designers and fit in with their recent invitation by the British Fashion Council to join the Estethica advisory panel who vet Eco designers.
We love a good cause, and The Edible Bus Stop is one hell of a great one!!
Definitely in the race for Best Legs ever!! Katerina Smutok!!
“All the women in my family have influenced me in some way. My mum used to work at The Factory with Andy Warhol so I’ve seen lots of pictures of her in the day in amazing outfits.” - Mary Charteris
