BELLA ANNABELLA
Annabella Barber
Everyone at Team Premier are happy today. It’s Friday, Team EastCoast/Premier aka Tom and Annielou are living it up in Newcastle today scouting the day away, Aunty Carole is gearing up for her long awaited holiday, The Model Agency has been aired in The Netherlands last night and the sole fact that it’s sunny gets us all on a high! However probably the biggest and most wonderful reason why we’re all so chirpy today are these stunning images of Miss Annabella Barber!!! We’re stuck for words to describe them but we reckon you all know what we mean! With all this love and happiness in the air we immediately got in touch with Matthew Priestley, the man behind the lens so to speak and decided to interview him briefly!
HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE XX
Name: Matthew Priestley (.com, not .co.uk, that’s another Matthew Priestley who shoots beautiful weddings and portraits of another sort.)
Age: 27 until next Thursday. I’ll be spending the day in the studio with some beautiful new faces, and then flying out that night to have a beer in Washington D.C. I didn’t know how cool that sounded until right now.
Where are you from: I am from Frankfort, Kentucky, USA. Small small SMALL town. My parents moved away when I was very young, thankfully. Most people who are born there, stay there for their whole lives.
Inspirations: Life stories, old films, Annie Leibovitz, Mert & Marcus. I think there is some overlap there in terms of story-telling. I think traveling is inspirational. The light is so different in every city.
Aspirations: If you’d asked me that two years ago, I’d say, “shooting models for a living.” I’m there already, so I want to appreciate having reached that goal. But I’d love to shoot consistently for mags like V, Interview, Numero, and I wouldn’t say no to Vogue Italia. :P If Mert & Marcus ever let anyone else shoot campaigns (haha!) I would die to shoot a Gucci campaign. Maybe these are obvious answers, but I’m ok with that. :)
Favourite camera: I love mine. I shoot with a Nikon D700, and have never felt like I needed more than this.
Sunset or Sunrise: Sunset. I think. …yes, sunset.
If you could pick an era to be reborn into which one would it be: I’m just being completely honest here, I wanted to say the late 1800s because I love movies set in that time, but I’d probably hate it. I’d like to have been born in the 1970s so I could experience and appreciate 80s and early 90s music in real time more than I did.
